Prior to this she headed up a molecular diagnostics unit for a reputable commercial business initiative for the sub Saharan African region & was the CEO for the clinical trial laboratory division of the Wits Health Consortium, a division of the University of Witwatersrand. Her qualifications include both clinical haematology – MMed (Haem) Wits and haematopathology – FCPathHaem (Wits). Dr Ingram has a 10year experience at executive management level in academic & blood transfusion organisations which included managing HLA typing laboratories in SANBS and cryopreservation of peripheral stem & mononuclear cells.

She has vast experience in numerous applications of genetic marker systems, specialising in HLA typing for bone marrow transplantation. She started her career in 1991 at the NHLS Laboratory for Tissue Immunology (originally the Provincial Blood Grouping Laboratory). Areas of expertise include fundraising, public relations, programme design & implementation and strategic planning.[/wptabcontent] [wptabtitle] Dr Manickavallie (Monica) Vaithilingum[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]Dr Monica Vaithilingum has been a Paediatrician for twenty years, thirteen of which have been as a paediatric Haematologist spanning both the public and private sectors. Current Chair of the South African Children’s Cancer Study Group. Integral involvement with relevant NGO and NPO groups.[/wptabcontent] [wptabtitle] Mr Derek Auret[/wptabtitle] [wptabcontent]Derek Auret was educated at Zwaanswyk High School, Cape Town and is a graduate of the University of Stellenbosch (Bachelor of Administration) and of the University of Pretoria (Honours in Political Science and International Politics).
During his 25 years’ experience in the Department of Foreign Affairs he established a wide network of professional and other contacts across the political and business spectrum both in South Africa and abroad. He is a dynamic communicator and possesses excellent mediating and negotiating skills.
